The UMapper is a key component of the eInvoicing Automation solution. It provides a flexible, fully soft-coded way to map inbound XML data elements to the appropriate data elements in your JD Edwards ERP system. While you can map any XML-formatted data into JD Edwards invoices (provided the required data elements are available), it is best to adopt the UBL invoice standard. External providers can supply complete XML documents based on any vendor invoice you receive, eliminating the need for cumbersome, hard-to-maintain OCR solutions.

UMapper templates

Templates are the foundational element that contains your mapping details. The dynamic XML Layout Master (PQ46UL01S) creates and stores all your templates.

UMapper Mapping Attributes

Mapping attributes are where you link the external XML elements to the corresponding JD Edwards data elements.

Any data elements used in a mapping must be set up in the appropriate UDC. Refer to this section before you begin.
