Appshare provides a public SaaS platform that can be used without installing software in customer systems. The platform is designed for high availability and low-latency responses. Customers use Appshare Apps for business-critical processes across all regions of the world.
The Appshare PWA hosting service uses a global CDN (Content Distribution Network) that hosts the files in all regions worldwide. The CDN delivers the PWA from the closest available region.
The entry point for the Appshare Services (https://api.appshare.app) is served by a geo-location-based router. Based on the user device location and the available app services, this router selects the best region to serve requests from. The data store behind the app services replicates data across regions. With this setup, Appshare does not rely on any single region being available and can provide low-latency responses.
Customer services must be accessible from the user device. The public Appshare services do not require network access to customer services. How the user device obtains network access (for example, via VPN or proxy) to customer services is not handled by the public Appshare SaaS platform.
