Version Workbench will start (with fastpath ‘VW’)with the following screen:

Version Workbench introduction screen
The Welcome link in the upper-left corner of the right side of the screen reloads the Steltix welcome page with the displayed hyperlinks. The Version Workbench link in the upper-right corner opens the following pop-up window with support information.
The Version Workbench main screen has four tabs at the bottom of the screen. Each tab is displayed and described below:

Projects TAB
This tab contains the Project Maintenance and Version Maintenance functionality. After you click Find, the Steltix welcome page on the right side of the Version Workbench main screen is replaced with detailed information about the selection in the project tree on the left. Row exits are enabled or disabled based on the content and properties of the selected item. More will be discussed in the appropriate chapter.

Taskview TAB
This tab offers a complete alternative to taskview menu design. In addition to the standard functionality, Version Workbench supports cross-environment taskview copying with inline version-reference replacements. It also supports cross-environment manual maintenance of taskview menus, including translations. More will be discussed in the appropriate chapter.

Option Explorer TAB

Data Selection Explorer TAB
These two Explorer tabs let you browse your setup data across environments. Standard QBE and grid sequencing features are available to help you build powerful queries. The Data Sequencing Explorer screen is accessible through a form exit on the Selection Explorer screen. You can also create visual comparisons of setup data across environments using the Compare form exit. More will be discussed in the appropriate chapter.
