1️⃣ Install the PAR files

Import the PAR File from JD Edwards Object Management Workbench (OMW) using the restore option.

2️⃣ Post Import Tasks

Log back in to the JDE development environment to clear any residual memory and activate cached UDC values. The following three steps must be completed and are explained in detail in the subsequent sections:

1. Create OCM entries for the Version Workbench tables and batch applications
2. Generate the Version Workbench tables
3. Check in the project and hand it over to the regular JDE promotion and deployment process

Note: If you are on release E812, Partner Reserved system codes might not be present in your system. If so, add code Q46 (description Steltix) to UDC 98|SY, and include this UDC in the Version Workbench project so it can be promoted along with Version Workbench to the other environments.

4️⃣ Start using Version Workbench

The Version Workbench project imported using the PAR file initially needs to be deployed to all workstations via a full package, due to two new dedicated business function libraries.

However, because Version Workbench is a client-only application, you can start using it immediately, even before the JDE deployment process is complete. To do so, locally build all Version Workbench business functions. In OMW, build the following business functions in the order shown:
